An ornamental and culinary herb whose tender young leaves have a nutty cucumber flavor. Use fresh in salads, cheese spreads, and garnishes. Makes a nice winter green, too. Distinctive flavor can be preserved in burnet vinegar. (Sanguisorba minor)
Growing instructions: Perennial in zones 3-8. Germination at 70°F. Transplant or direct sow. Space 9" apart. Grows 18" tall.
