'Przemko' is Polish for "prize" or "premium." A breakthrough in plant breeding in 1990, 'Pzemko' was bred for very low alkaloid content (less than 0.05%). Large plants produce ornamental 4" blooms in pastel shades of pink with pale lavender-pink centers. The flowers contrast nicely with the bluish-green foliage. The seeds can be collected and used for bread. (Papaver somniferum)
