
Lovage
As a culinary herb, lovage has a celery-like flavor, but richer with hints of fennel and curry. Use the stems, leaves, and seeds in the same fashion as celery. (Levisticum officinale)
Medicinal: As a medicinal herb, lovage is used as a tea for its diuretic effect, and as a carminative (relief of gas). Usage similar to Dong Quai.
Growing instructions: Perennial in zones 3-8. Germination at 65°F in 14 days. Transplant. Full sun or part shade. Grows 60" tall. Space 18-24" apart.
