85 days to maturity. Indeterminate. Developed by tomato breeder Tom Wagner of Tater Mater Seeds in 1986 by crossing two heirloom tomatoes. Alice Waters of the renowned Chez Panisse restaurant chose 'Green Zebra' as one of her favorite varieties. The ripe fruits of this unusual tomato have a rare zebra-like color pattern of alternating green and yellow vertical stripes. The flesh has an emerald green color and the flavor is mildly sweet and tangy. Medium-sized, slightly elongated fruits average about 3 ounces. The well-branched vines have some resistance to septoria leaf spot. This is a choice tomato for slicing and salads.
