Gaillardia: Russian Beauty
An introduction from our ethnic Russian heirloom collection. 'Russian Beauty' was collected in 1995 in a small village, 60 kilometers south of Moscow. The Cyrillic translation of the Russian description refers to the pleasantly fresh herbal or grass-like scent of the flower. one of its distinctive qualities is the variation in the intensity and amount of floral color. Some flowers have maroon-red rays that fade to a dusky coral pink blending into the soft yellow border. A very pleasing border plant that is widely adapted, and heat and drought tolerant.
