Evening Primrose: EP-10
Traditionally known as an edible wild plant, both the leaves and roots can be used. First year plants are a rosette of leaves similar to dandelion in appearance. (Oenothera biennis)
Medicinal: This 'EP 10' strain has a higher GLA content and retains its seeds better. Highest GLA levels are obtained when the plant is grown on poor garden soil with low nitrogen.
Growing instructions: Biennial in zones 5-8. A light dependent germinator. Germination at 70°F in14 to 21 days. Sow May through June in pots or flats, transplant after several true leaves have developed. Space 12"-18" apart. Full sun or part shade with good drainage. Grows 36"-48" tall.
