Medicinal: A soothing expectorant and traditional remedy for coughs, colds, bronchitis, and whooping cough. Indicated for chronic conditions, but should be used on a short-term basis only, because it contains pyrrylizadine alkaloids (PAs).
Growing instructions: Germination may be slow due to seed dormancy. Perennial in zones 3-7. Germination at 60-70°F. Transplant or direct sow. Sun or part shade. Grows 12" high. Keep 12" apart.
