
Calendula: Erfurter Orangefarbigen
A European variety bred for medicinal use. The yellow-orange 3" flowers are rich in carotenoids and resin. Adds a nice color to salads. Also used as a food color, natural dye, and substitute for saffron. (Calendula officinalis)
Medicinal: Excellent for salves, tinctures, and oils.
Growing instructions: Annual. Germination at 55-65°F in 14 days. Transplant or direct sow. Space 6" apart. Full sun. 18" tall. Matures in 85 days.
