Basil, Lettuce Leaf
The most productive of the basils, this large Italian variety is excellent for pesto and basil in oil. The large curly leaves are 4" wide by 6" long and are borne on a compact plant. Leaves hold their flavor well under hot growing conditions, and the plant is slower to flower, ensuring a longer harvest period. (Ocimum basilicum crispum)
